About The Dandy

Breakfast. Brunch. Lunch. & Private Evening Event Space from the dandies at Red Spire Brunch House

Located at 115 E Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, The Dandy operates as an american restaurant serving Traverse City in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as event venue, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amโ€“3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Dandy at (231) 709-4167; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is dandytc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 123 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded american restaurants in Traverse City.

The Dandy was one of our favorite breakfast spots in Traverse City! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The menu had the perfect balance of sweet and savory options, so there was something for everyone. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. I have an egg allergy, and they had no problem substituting my eggs for another protein, which I really appreciated. Itโ€™s always nice when a restaurant goes the extra mile to make sure you have a great meal. The fresh juices were delicious and tasted like they were made that morning. The Eggs Benedict is an absolute must-tryโ€”perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We also loved the avocado toast, breakfast hash, yogurt parfait, and sandwich. Every dish came out fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. If youโ€™re looking for an amazing brunch in Traverse City with excellent food, top-notch service, and accommodations for dietary restrictions

The Dandy probably has some of the best breakfast reviews around, but is it really worth the hype? Good question for anyone who isnโ€™t willing to wait two hours for brunch on a weekend. We waited about an hour in line, got seated around 12:30 PM, and didnโ€™t get our food until 1:10 PM. Unfortunately, we were seated outside. It started raining and was fairly cold, and the outdoor tables donโ€™t have umbrellas. We initially asked to be reseated but were told no. A little later, I noticed two open booths and another table inside, so I politely asked again since two people in our party were lightly dressed and it was still raining. They eventually moved us inside, though not exactly enthusiastically. One of the waitresses (tall with curly hair) definitely gave off a โ€œwhatever it is, thatโ€™s your problemโ€ kind of vibe, which didnโ€™t help the experience. I do want to give credit where itโ€™s due: the food was great. I had the crab benedict and a mimosa, and both were delicious. The mimosa tasted like it was made with fresh juice, which was a nice touch. For me, though, dining out is about the overall experience, not just the food. It felt like the seating situation and lackluster service un

First time trying The Dandy. The dรฉcor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very inviting. The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable or unique. Overall, Iโ€™d rate it about 6 out of 10. Nice place to visit once, but it didnโ€™t quite stand out enough for me to make it a destination restaurant.

My most lovely Wife and I had set out on a journey for brunch and grocery and decided on Red Spire... so there we headed. On the way, my boss called and I told him where we were heading and he had mentioned that he and his wife had recently ate at The Dandy and said it was great. We continued to Red Spire to find that it was actually closed that day... we were bummed. Then I reminded her that my boss had mentioned The Dandy, and to find out that they are both owned by the same folks. So on we went and landed downtown TC at The Dandy. I ordered a veggie omelet and added bacon and sausage. I also had a bloody mary (YUM). My Lovely ordered crab Benedict And a mimosa. The omelet was cooked nicely with the vegetables still having body and not being mushy. Then I tasted my Wife's crab Benedict, and, WOW! That was stupendous! The esthetic was nice, The service was great, and the food was amazing. When we were finished, we stayed a few minutes and made romance in the early afternoon. 5/5...more if it was possible. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this place and hope to have the opportunity to come back and try it again. I went with a simple egg salad BLT because I felt like it was something unique that I had not seen before. I love the name, clean feel, and musical choices that I enjoyed at this restaurant.(cure, smiths, etc)
